Terms of Service

Effective date: May 20, 2026

Welcome to Texas Therapist. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, content, and directory services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Not Medical Advice; No Provider–Patient Relationship

The information provided through the Service, including therapist listings, articles, and educational content, is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use of the Service does not create a provider–patient relationship between you and Texas Therapist. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

3. Directory and Third-Party Providers

The Service includes a directory of independent licensed therapists and clinicians. We do not employ these providers, and we do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee the quality, qualifications, licensure, or services of any provider listed. You are solely responsible for evaluating any provider before engaging their services and for any arrangements you make directly with them.

4. Accounts and User Submissions

Certain features may require you to submit information such as contact details or inquiry messages. You agree that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding any credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or copy content from the Service except as expressly permitted.

  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful or deceptive content.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Texas Therapist and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
