About

I’ve always been passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges. Becoming a counselor was a natural path for me as I wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives. I attended Hardin-Simmons University for both my Undergrad and Graduate degrees, obtaining a Master of Arts in both Family Psychology and Family Ministry. Throughout my years as an LPC I’ve worked with a variety of patients including teens, adults, couples and families, and addressed a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, grief, relational problems, life transitions, and past trauma.

I am trained in EMDR and also use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness to help patients heal and achieve their goals. I believe in creating a safe and empathetic space for my patients to explore their concerns. Patients have expressed that I am authentic in my approach, working alongside them in their timing. Additionally, they have been able to learn and gain better understanding of how their brain processes information and how best to utilize the skills learned through therapy to help with any future issues as well.
