About

In my practice, I often draw from person-centered, humanistic-existential, emotion-focused, psychodynamic and narrative frameworks. Through a resonant relationship that recognizes each symptom and concern to be a story in itself, I invite intentional reflection, creating a process of loosening that, in turn, might allow for reauthoring and imagining of new possibilities.

During the intake session, we will discuss the history and impact of your presenting concern, as well as the relationships, environments and developmental experiences that may have shaped you. My guiding aim is to appreciate who you are, what brought you into therapy, and what you hope to explore in our work together.

At the end of treatment, patients have shared feeling lighter and more at ease with themselves and their lives. They’ve described a greater awareness of the sources and patterns underlying their struggles, which has supported a reduction in symptoms and allowed them to move forward with greater intentionality and self-trust. Many have described leaving therapy with a stronger connection to and understanding of their inner world, which has, in turn, allowed for more meaningful interactions with others and the world around them.

Patients might say that what makes me unique as a therapist is my ability to draw in dreamwork and experiential activities to engage creatively with issues at hand. While I am always ready to offer practical skills or coping strategies where needed, I often invite patients to supplement their healing process with dream symbolism and the expressive arts- which they have found to be both revealing and enriching.
