About
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, so I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients can explore their experiences with honesty and confidence. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered Therapy, while using a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt therapy to each person’s cultural background, lived experiences, values, and goals. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change that extends beyond our sessions. During the initial session, patients can expect a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where they can begin sharing what brings them to therapy at their own pace. I am approachable, warm, and genuine, which allows many patients to feel comfortable and build trust quickly from the beginning of our work together. My patients would say that what sets me apart is my ability to meet them where they are, creating a space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. At the end of treatment, my patients often share that they feel more confident, understood, and equipped with the tools to navigate life’s challenges. Many describe gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, learning healthier ways to manage emotions, improve relationships, and approach difficult situations with greater resilience. As a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking therapist, I have experience supporting Spanish-speaking individuals and families navigating the challenges of immigration, acculturation, and adapting to a new culture. I understand the emotional impact that cultural adjustment, language barriers, identity changes, and family expectations can have on mental health and relationships.
