About

Patients can expect me to be very caring, attentive and focused on them and their presenting issue. I will develop rapport and connect with them “where they’re at” and patients never have to perform or feel the need to do anything other than express how they are feeling and what is going on with them that has brought them to therapy. In addition to mood and trauma-related concerns, I have extensive experience working with addiction, chronic illness, life transitions, grief, and loss. I also work with neurodivergent individuals and strive to create a space that is welcoming, affirming, and responsive to the unique ways each person moves through the world.

Previous patients have shared that I was the first person who could really understand them at a deep level, and often that I was the first therapist who could provide interventions/treatment that helped them move from a place of suffering to a place where they are better able to understand how their brain works and how to find relief from the issues that troubled them. I am very caring, gentle and attuned, while also being authentic, real and intense. I am good at helping you figure out what you need to learn in order to better manage your brain and/or your issues, and I’m a good teacher (compassionate, non-judgmental and precise). A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for a patient to experience progress and relief from their symptoms and suffering, but often that alone is not enough.

A key part of my work involves helping you connect therapeutic tools and strategies to your real-life context. Whether that means integrating your interests, exploring new coping skills, or shifting long-held patterns, my focus is on making therapy practical, relevant, and sustainable. I aim to foster a collaborative environment where you feel encouraged to engage deeply and move toward relief, insight, and meaningful change at your own pace.
