About
I’m a patient-centered therapist who believes people aren’t broken, they’re just stuck. My approach blends warmth, directness, and a focus on shifting thought patterns to create meaningful change. Whether someone is coming in for the first time or returning after a break, I work to make therapy a safe, steady space where they feel supported and understood. During our first session, I take time to understand what’s bringing you in, clarify your goals, and set the tone for open and collaborative work ahead. Much of my experience has been with LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly teens and young adults navigating identity, gender dysphoria, and internalized shame. My role is to offer a supportive space where patients can unpack difficult emotions and connect more deeply with their authentic selves. I’ve also worked with high-functioning autistic individuals, focusing on social skills, emotional awareness, and behavior strategies to support growth in their daily lives. Many patients have shared that therapy with me feels more comfortable than they expected. I try to bring a balance of honesty, warmth, and even a little humor into the room when it’s appropriate. Patients may also say that I’m authentic. I never pretend to be an expert on anything and I am quick to say, “I don’t know” if I’m unsure of something, working with the individual to get the answer. Over time, I’ve seen people grow in self-awareness, strengthen their communication, and develop more patience with themselves. While the work can be challenging, I believe it doesn’t always have to be heavy; sometimes meaningful progress happens through small, unexpected moments of connection.
