About
Hi there! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working with adults, parents, and medical professionals. The individuals I typically work with are often experiencing things like stress, difficulties with life transitions, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief, anxiety and relationship concerns. I believe everyone has strengths and I love empowering individuals to start making changes in their life. I believe in a collaborative approach and partner with my patients to create impactful goals to move forward on the journey towards healing and happiness. Congratulations on taking this step on wanting to work on yourself. I find it courageous to reach out for support and I look forward to working with you! Attended Florida State University, MSW, Graduated 2010. Beyond my work as a clinician, you might find me exploring some of my favorite things about Austin including the Greenbelt, live music or the amazing food scene. I spent the first half of my career working in child welfare. I gained specialized skills working with children, adolescents and families impacted by child sexual abuse. I then spent seven years diversifying my clinical experience at a medical clinic where I provided behavioral health services to some of the most underserved, at-risk individuals in Austin. I saw clients ranging from young children to seniors with a variety of mental health and chronic medical conditions. I also have seven years of experience working in academic medicine through a Family Medicine Residency Program. I gained an understanding of the stress young professionals face and recognize that a high-pressure job often leads to feelings of burnout.
