About

I specialize in supporting adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including emotional trauma, unhealthy relationship patterns, major life transitions, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use issues.

I bring extensive experience in working with trauma survivors, including adults who endured sexual, emotional, physical, or psychological abuse during childhood, as well as those who have experienced sexual assault or witnessed deeply distressing events. My work is rooted in creating a safe and validating environment where healing can begin and resilience can be cultivated. I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals undergoing significant life changes, whether anticipated or unexpected. During these transitions, I help patients reframe their experiences and develop healthier ways of interpreting and adapting to their “new normal.”

I have a compassionate approach to therapy that is very relational. I like to get to know my patients and laugh with my patients when appropriate! Once I establish this relationship it makes it much easier for me to gently confront my patients and hold them accountable to their mental health goals. I like to point out strengths of my patient and model appreciation for self within session without the need to be perfect. A lot of my patients can recognize they understand themselves better and are able to recognize the reasoning behind their thoughts and behaviors. They also often express a greater appreciation for self and have developed healthier ways to meet their needs moving forward.

As an affirmative therapist trained to work with the LGBTQ+ community, I offer a compassionate, informed, and inclusive space. I understand the unique stressors and systemic challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals may face, and I am committed to providing respectful, affirming, and empowering care.
