About
I specialize in treating adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, OCD, and the impact of trauma. I can help you learn valuable skills to cope with overwhelming emotions and identify unhealthy thought patterns that are keeping you stuck. I also have experience working with children, families, parents, and individuals going through significant life changes. My empathetic personality allows me to create a safe and comfortable environment for self-reflection. My approach is person-centered and I pull from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT and EMDR. I have received training in Exposure and Response Prevention and enjoy helping patients to reduce the impact of OCD on their functioning. Patients have said that I am very warm, non-judgmental, and easy to open up to. I also relate well to patients and will utilize self-disclosure when appropriate. My main goal during an intake session is to help patients to feel comfortable. I seek to create a non-judgmental atmosphere where they can feel comfortable to open up about their current struggles and presenting concerns. I also seek to gather information regarding past experiences to help create a greater understanding of the individual.
